VOLUNTEER OPP: Career Poster Session

Think “reverse career fair.” This is a session where students can explore different AEC career disciplines and ask you questions about what you do and how you got there. The focus for this event is to showcase a cross-section of our industry, hosting over a dozen different professionals at one time - not primarily trying to hire candidates to your specific company but to expose students to your discipline and excite them about possibilities in our industry overall. 

We are looking for poster-presenters from every AEC discipline to share what it’s like to work in that field. 

•H&A will provide a template for the poster, which will include suggested key sections to exhibit. The posters will focus on your personal journey, what someone in your discipline does on a day-to-day, and potential career paths for students at your firm. We are looking for lots of graphics and photos to spark conversations. 

•There will be two virtual prep meetings to provide more guidance and details about the poster creation and final logistics. 

We also need volunteers to provide general support (registration table, greeters to help students navigate, help with setup/breakdown, food, networking, etc.)
